Welcome to Roineabhal Self Catering Cottage on the Hebridean Isle of Scalpay.
The Isle of Scalpay is a secluded jewel in the Hebridean Island chain, it has only recently been bridged to its neighbour the Isle of Harris. Like all the Hebridean Islands Scalpay has a timeless beauty and tranquility. Land and seascapes change frequently as clouds cast shadows across moors and mountains, sunset fills the sky with unimaginable colour, a time to stand still, take in the show and be amazed.
Wildlife is abundant on Harris and the islands boast many rare species. Sea Eagles, Golden Eagles, Otters, Seals, Deer, are at home here, some viewed more often than others, but any chance meeting/sighting will always thrill locals and visitors alike. In the summer months Dolphins, Whales, Porpoises and even Sun Fish can be sighted in our waters, take a boat trip, there's an adventure waiting for you.
Fishing, Sea Angling, Golf, Hill Walking, or wandering along endless golden beaches, visiting an Art Gallery, or enjoying Extreme Sport, we have it all!
